Mother Earth Tobacco Announces New Product Packaging
Mother Earth Tobacco is proud to announce that their Ceremonial Tobacco is now available in custom-designed 13-gram box. The new package is more circular in shape, representing the Circle of the People. The design includes a Culturally Relevant Health Warning that is described within the Sacred symbol of the Medicine Wheel. Community Members are expressing very positive reactions to the innovative and practical package.
June 20, 2006 - Tobacco company targets Aboriginal market - A Manitoba company that sells Tobacco for Ceremonial Use has found a growing market among large corporations and government departments. Mother Earth Tobacco, based on the Long Plain First Nation in Portage la Prairie, Man., began selling Ceremonial Tobacco in the fall of 2005.
October 18, 2005 - Mother Earth Tobacco Grand Opening - The Mother Earth Tobacco company was officially launched on October 18th, 2005. The inaugural ceremony and gathering took place at the Keeshkeemaquah Gaming and Conference Centre in the Long Plain First Nation in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.
